The club's coordinator role involves liaising with teaching staff and outside contractors to draw up a termly list of clubs, organising the lists and registration of clubs using our SOCS database, overseeing the employment checks, training and payment of outside contractors and handling all aspects of club administration and parental queries.
Previous experience in running a school library is not essential as training can be provided. Applicants with a strong knowledge of current children's fiction will, however, be at an advantage.

The Junior Branch is seeking to appoint a full-time clubs coordinator and librarian to join the school in January 2027.
This is a genuinely hybrid role. Working largely from our attractive school library, the successful applicant will split their time between the administration of our school clubs programme (with over 80 clubs per term on offer to pupils) and running our school library., University College School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check before commencing employment. This is a requirement as the position is within a school working with children aged under 18. UCS will also undertake its own recruitment checks through contact with previous employers, and others, to confirm applicants' identities and their professional records.
The position is advertised with a full-time equivalent salary range of between £40k - £45k working from 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday during term time (34 weeks) plus an additional week at the beginning or end of each term, as needed (arranged with Headmaster), to a total of 37 weeks. This gives an actual salary range of £32,769 - £36-865.
