Overview
As Advancement Strategic Messaging Manager, you lead the messaging for priority campaign themes and programmes, turning priorities into integrated communications plans. You will shape audience-focused content and collaborate across teams to drive engagement, stewardship and fundraising. You’ll craft briefs, content and scripts, supporting flagship moments for a major university-wide campaign. This role blends strategy, collaboration and hands-on writing to help unlock philanthropy and alumni involvement at scale.

Responsibilities
- Build and deliver integrated communications plans for campaign themes and programmes
- Translate priorities into audience-focused communications and fresh content ideas
- Write briefs, messaging frameworks and content requirements for cross-team delivery
- Coordinate with Publications, Digital Channels, Philanthropy Writing, Alumni Engagement, Donor Engagement, Regular Giving and Legacies
- Commission and curate content across multiple channels to align with campaign priorities
- Create content including articles, web content, scripts and collateral
- Support flagship campaign moments and fundraising events with appropriate messaging
- Ensure content reflects brand, editorial standards and audience insights
- Use performance data and feedback to optimise content and impact
- Advise colleagues on campaign messaging and communications planning
