About us The Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre (CTC) is a UKCRC registered centre: and is one of the largest cancer trials centres in the UK, with more than 120 members of staff working on about 100 clinical studies.
The CTC designs and conducts high quality clinical trials, from phase I to phase III trials, with a range of different treatments such as chemotherapies, radiotherapy, surgery and the new generation of targeted drugs including advanced cell and gene therapies.
About the role We are looking for a Senior Pharmacovigilance Officer to work within our Regulatory team.
With the support of the Pharmacovigilance Manager, the main purpose of the post is to maintain oversight of safety reporting activities within the CTC, ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulatory requirements are maintained at all times.
The postholder will review SUSAR reports, raising queries with the trial teams and make timely submissions into ICSR Submissions and Eudra Vigilance portals, maintain oversight over SUSAR submissions and review and submit DSURs to the MHRA.

This is a full-time, open-ended post, funded for 1 year in the first instance.
Appointments will usually be made at the bottom of the salary scale.
The CTC offers hybrid working with staff being able to work between the office and home.
A minimum of 60% FTE office attendance is required for this role.

About you The postholder should have significant knowledge of biomedical or life sciences, as well as significant knowledge and experience of pharmacovigilance in an academic sponsor’s setting.
Experience in safety reporting to competent authorities and REC, using ICR Submissions and Eudra Vigilance and preparing DSURs is essential.
Knowledge of cancer biology and treatments would be advantageous.
