Creating equity of opportunity is central to our approach to talent, learning, leadership development and organisational change.About the roleAs Senior OD Consultant (Employee Experience & Transformation), you will lead the development of evidence-based approaches to employee experience, engagement and colleague voice across UCL.You will take strategic ownership of UCL’s Staff Experience Survey and wider employee-listening activities, translating colleague feedback and organisational data into clear insights and practical recommendations. You will develop a coherent listening strategy using approaches such as pulse surveys, focus groups and employee panels, helping UCL build a culture of continuous listening, learning and improvement.Working closely with senior leaders, People & Culture colleagues and transformation teams, you will provide expert organisational development and change consultancy across major university-wide programmes. You will lead people and organisational change workstreams, assessing change readiness, identifying risks and developing strategies that support successful adoption and sustainable impact.You will also help strengthen UCL’s Employee Value Proposition and improve the colleague experience across key stages of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, performance, learning, leadership and organisational change.A further focus of the role will be providing strategic leadership for the employee experience roadmap within UCL’s Thrive digital ecosystem. You will work with digital and product teams to translate employee insight into development priorities and explore how emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, could enhance employee experience and workforce capability.As a trusted adviser, you will use evidence, organisational insight and specialist OD expertise to challenge constructively, influence decisions and shape strategic priorities across UCL.About youYou will be an experienced organisational development, employee experience or change professional with a strong record of delivering complex, organisation-wide initiatives. You will have expertise in employee engagement and listening, using qualitative and quantitative insight to develop clear, practical recommendations. An effective programme and stakeholder manager, you will be confident advising and influencing senior leaders, building relationships across multidisciplinary teams and supporting sustainable organisational change.
