We are a home for the research technology professionals - research software engineers, HPC systems engineers, dev-ops specialists, data scientists and data stewards - who support and collaborate in the delivery of UCL research.Further information about working in ARC can be found on our website .About the roleA Principal Research Infrastructure Developer will be responsible for designing, building and securing the computational software and infrastructure that drives UCL’s research.About youAs a Principal Research Infrastructure Developer you will be interested in building research platforms including hardware, networking, security hardening and monitoring. You will be a strong advocate for "building it right” and working to provide secure, highly resilient systems and services. As part of this role there is an opportunity for growth - to obtain advancement by steering the focus to include training, line management, research or further specialisation in HPC/Storage technologies. You’ll provide guidance on cyber-security best-practice to colleagues across our Data Science, Research Software Engineering and Research Infrastructure Development teams.As part of this recruitment we are looking to appoint a cyber-security focused Principal Research Infrastructure Developer with specialisations in two or more of the following: Security hardening, HPC systems, ISO 27001 certification, secrets management, auditing/monitoring, privileged access management, network security, kubernetes security or trusted research environments.What we offerAs well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer great benefits.
