Overview
In this role you will lead the management, governance and continual improvement of Estates information and data within UCL’s Estates team. You will ensure data is governed in line with best practice and university policies, developing standards and frameworks for data ownership, quality and accountability. You will act as a trusted adviser to data owners and stewards, promoting a consistent approach across Estates. You will oversee key information systems, support digital transformation, and champion a culture of data quality and a single source of truth.

Responsibilities
- Govern information management standards, policies and governance frameworks across Estates
- Oversee the Estates Common Data Environment and other key information systems
- Promote data quality, lifecycle management and accountability across the organisation
- Educate and support data owners, stewards and champions on information governance
- Collaborate with project delivery teams and contractors to ensure information is captured and handed over effectively
- Support digital and data transformation initiatives and drive a culture of best practice in information management
- Assist in delivering data governance in line with ISO 19650 and related frameworks
Key requirements
- Hands-on experience with IWMS platforms
- Experience with Common Data Environments and Business Information Management tools
- Strong understanding of information management practices and data governance frameworks
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and practical application in large estates environments
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence behaviours and establish accountability
- Excellent communication and data storytelling abilities for senior leaders and operational teams
- Proven project or programme management experience
- Experience delivering data and digital improvements in a large estates setting
- Professional qualifications in information management, construction, facilities management or related fields (advantageous)
