About the role
We are recruiting a number of HR Administrators to join our Faculty HR teams across UCL's Faculty of Population Health Sciences, Faculty of Medical Sciences and Institute of Education (IOE). This is an exciting opportunity to join UCL as we introduce a new way of delivering HR services across our Faculties. As part of our evolving HR operating model, you will help provide a responsive, efficient and high-quality service to our diverse academic and professional services communities. Working closely with HR Managers, colleagues across your Faculty and UCL's central HR teams, you will provide first-line HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities, preparing contract requests, supporting right to work checks, maintaining accurate HR records, processing employment changes and responding to HR enquiries. You will also help support key HR processes, including probation, appraisals, contract extensions and leavers. This is a varied, people-focused role where your organisation, attention to detail and commitment to excellent service will make a real difference to the experience of colleagues across UCL. We are running one coordinated recruitment campaign across the three Faculties, with successful candidates appointed to roles within the respective Faculty HR teams.
About you
We are looking for organised, proactive and customer-focused individuals who enjoy working with people and delivering a high-quality administrative service. You will have experience of working in a busy, deadline-driven administrative environment, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will be confident using digital systems, handling confidential information appropriately and communicating effectively with a wide range of colleagues. You will bring a practical, solutions-focused approach, be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and take pride in delivering accurate and timely work. Previous HR experience would be preferred , but we also welcome applications from candidates with transferable administrative skills and an interest in developing a career in HR. Experience within higher education or another complex organisation, or working towards a professional HR qualification, would be an advantage but is not essential. Above all, we are looking for people who share UCL's commitment to excellent service, continuous improvement and positive working relationships.
