About us
The Office of the Vice Provost (Education and Student Experience) works across UCL to enhance the educational experience and support student success. The Feedback and Assessment Programme brings together colleagues from across UCL to improve staff and student experiences of feedback and assessment, strengthen assessment integrity and ensure that our assessment regulations, processes and reporting continue to meet the needs of our students, staff and the wider regulatory environment.
Working in partnership with faculties, departments and professional services, the Programme brings together expertise across areas including assessment regulations, operations and platforms, pedagogic support and guidance, and data and reporting. This is an opportunity to contribute to an important programme of institutional improvement at one of the world's leading universities.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Feedback and Assessment Programme Manager to provide specialist programme management expertise across UCL's Feedback and Assessment Programme. You will work with academic and professional services colleagues to coordinate improvement activity, maintain momentum and support the delivery of institutional priorities relating to feedback, assessment and student academic experience.
Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will bring together data, evidence, policy and stakeholder perspectives to support informed decision-making and sustained improvement. You will maintain programme plans, monitoring frameworks and risk registers, coordinate activity across multiple programme strands and identify and address barriers, risks and dependencies that could affect delivery.
You will also play an important role in supporting governance and senior decision-making, preparing high-quality reports, briefing papers, analysis and presentations, and ensuring that agreed decisions are translated into deliverable activity. The role includes supporting recommendations arising from institutional reviews and enhancement initiatives, including UCL's work relating to AI and assessment.
This is a highly collaborative role requiring you to build effective relationships across faculties and professional services, facilitate meetings and workshops, bring together diverse perspectives and influence colleagues to deliver shared objectives. You will also use evidence and data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and help share effective practice across UCL.
Please note, this is a part time (0.4 FTE/ 14.6hrs per week) role offered on a 3-year fixed term contract basis in the first instance. The role offers hybrid working with currently a minimum of 20-40% onsite per week in our Bloomsbury offices.

You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information and use evidence to support effective decision-making.
Crucially, you will be an excellent relationship builder and communicator, able to bring together academic and professional services colleagues with different perspectives and priorities. You will be comfortable working independently, exercising sound judgement and managing competing priorities in a complex environment, while maintaining a clear focus on delivery and continuous improvement.
