Our community of intellectually dynamic scholars responds to today’s global challenges, and through our research, we help to shape government policy, national and international law, and its practice. Throughout our long history, we have been committed to the values of the founders of UCL: justice, liberty and equal rights for all. As a Faculty, we work together to promote these values among our staff and students, and as part of UCL, we harness the potential of cross-disciplinary research and expertise to address the world’s key problems.

About the role

We are looking to appoint an Education Manager as part of the Faculty’s Education Administration and Student Experience team to manage the Graduate office, providing support and leadership to team members to ensure the needs of students and staff are met as effectively as possible. The Education Manager will work closely with key senior colleagues in the Faculty to deliver high-quality support for the effective operation of our postgraduate taught programmes, implementing strategic approaches and translating policy into practice to deliver the Faculty’s strategic plans. One of the role’s key functions is to develop professional service staff supporting education to ensure a consistently high-quality service is delivered, working to align processes and practices for effective teamwork and service delivery across the wider EASE team.

The role will oversee professional service support for all aspects of taught postgraduate education, including student recruitment, student records, teaching delivery, student experience and student support, liaising with UCL’s central professional service departments to do so.

This role is offered on a full-time basis as a secondment for internal UCL applicants only until 31 July 2027.

About you

The successful candidate will be an experienced and accomplished Higher Education professional who is able to lead a dedicated team through generating a shared vision and purpose and building positive working relationships with staff at all levels. Leading through example, the role holder will have excellent management, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be able to guide team members to deliver high-quality support across a wide range of priorities.
