Overview
In this role you will provide academic leadership in obstetrics and maternal medicine within UCL’s women's health ecosystem.
You will drive research at the intersection of clinical care and genomics, translating findings into NHS pathways.

Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership within the Institute and collaborate with senior professors
- Lead and contribute to maternal medicine research, including genomics and risk prediction
- Develop and evaluate integrated clinical–genetic risk tools for pregnancy and postnatal care
- Translate research findings into NHS pathways and clinical practice
- Drive initiatives to reduce ethnic and socioeconomic inequalities in maternal health outcomes
- Publish research in international journals and sustain independent, original contributions
- Key requirements
- Medical degree
- Ph D or equivalent professional qualification
- Proven experience in maternal medicine including pregnancy diabetes, cardiometabolic and liver disease
- Track record in maternal medicine research and data-driven risk prediction
- Publications in international journals on relevant topics
- Experience in building or leading a research group
