The Patient Emergency Response and Resuscitation Team (PERRT) at University College Hospital comprises critical care outreach and resuscitation practitioners who provide a 24/7 service to critically ill and deteriorating patients, alongside delivery of robust training programmes, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the Trust.
The PERRT role is suitable for motivated individuals with strong leadership skills and extensive critical care (outreach) experience. It offers a fantastic opportunity to become expert in leading the management of deteriorating patients across the organisation, incorporating all 4 pillars of advanced practice. This nurse-led team is well established and provides a career development pathway through bands 6 to 8.
Work is varied and flexible, with numerous clinical specialties, covering 3 main inpatient sites and a number of day care and outpatient settings, and a trustwide remit for resuscitation services. The PERRT team and its leadership are hugely committed to getting the best out of our team members and nurturing their growth and development. With this in mind, we have a development plan which will facilitate your learning, developing your clinical, leadership, research and educational skills.
