We are seeking a motivated clinical academic researcher to join our corporate nursing team, who will play an integral role in shaping nursing research at UCLH. Bringing established experience of undertaking high quality clinical academic studies, the postholder will shape and deliver research projects aligned to trust wide strategic priorities that directly influence nursing practice and patient care. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in advancing nursing research and evidence informed practice. Alongside progressing core research activity, you will work closely with research colleagues, clinical teams, educators and research active nurses to help cultivate a culture of inquiry, acting as a senior resource for evidence-based practice and for helping to advise on rigorous, ethical research practice. Main duties of the job
The postholder will lead and deliver key clinical academic research projects that advance nursing priorities at UCLH, applying strong research design, analytical skills and methodological expertise. They will help build research capability across the nursing workforce by providing or supporting high quality teaching, mentorship and practical support to nurses and nursing associates engaging in evidence-based inquiry, service evaluation and research. Working closely with senior nursing leadership, they will contribute to delivering strategic research objectives, promote safe and ethical research practice, and act as a visible expert resource within clinical areas. The role requires established research experience, excellent communication, the ability to inspire and support others, and a commitment to embedding evidence based practice.
