The Breast Imaging Department is currently seeking a highly motivated, skilled, enthusiastic health care assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. We would expect the successful applicant to demonstrate a patient centred approach and contribute to the efficient running of the imaging department, with the provision of a consistently high standard of patient care. Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment or within the service industry is desirable. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a patient focused, technically advanced field and is an excellent opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge.
Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of the work and in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act, this post is restricted to female applicants only. This constitutes a Genuine Occupational Requirement (GOR).
Main duties of the job:
- To assist with the running of the Breast imaging Service.
- To assist Radiologists during interventional procedures.
- To assist Radiographers during Interventional Procedures.
- To prepare patients for their examinations.
