We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our maternity administration team to work as a MBT Admin assistant within our Antenatal Outpatients multi-disciplinary team. This role will involve supporting the Maternity Referrals process by registering new patients onto EPIC, booking their appointments and ultrasound scans, in line with national guidance. It will also involve jointly manning the busy Maternity appointments phone line, taking calls from patients about appointment changes, requests and questions. You will also be monitoring/actioning relevant EPIC workqueues as required. This role will have a significant and direct impact on our patients' experiences and will also involve rescheduling and cancelling clinics when needed and responding to EPIC in-basket, secure chats and email inbox queries. The successful applicant will be patient focused with excellent customer care skills and an eye for detail. They will enjoy daily interactions with patients, visitors, and multidisciplinary hospital staff. Main duties of the job:

  • Actioning maternity booking team referrals
  • Jointly manning the maternity phone tree
  • Liaising with a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and administrators
  • Interacting with patients including resolving queries and complaints in person, via email or telephone
  • Participating in service improvement projects
  • Epic Work queue and waiting list management
