We are seeking an enthusiastic medical physicist to join our team of physicists, engineers, and dosimetrists/technologists in providing radiotherapy physics services in proton therapy. The ideal candidate will have achieved state registration or be eligible, with relevant radiotherapy physics experience. A practical and theoretical understanding of dosimetry, quality assurance for radiotherapy equipment, and treatment planning techniques is essential. Experience with Proton Beam radiotherapy is advantageous but not mandatory. This role involves contact with patients, requiring clear and empathetic communication skills across diverse backgrounds. The main responsibilities include supporting all aspects of the Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) Physics Group\’s work, such as QA, dosimetry, treatment planning, and verification. The post-holder will also contribute to service development, research, and teaching initiatives. Dosimetry and QA activities are conducted outside clinical hours, and participation in a duty rota covering early and late shifts, including some Saturdays, is required.
