A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) invites applications for this outpatient Specialty Doctor post (4 PAs (0.4 whole time equivalent) in its Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and Fibromyalgia service.

We welcome applications from medically qualified healthcare professionals with a holistic approach and experience in managing complex, chronic conditions characterised by chronic fatigue and/or chronic pain. The post-holder will provide outpatient services (face-to-face and remote) in the ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia service. This service provides multidisciplinary treatment pathways for adult patients with these complex, chronic medical conditions and is one of the largest such services in London and the South-East.

The service incorporates physician care (a Specialist Physician and Specialty Doctors), occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Autogenic Training), dietetics and acupuncture. Applicants will be expected to possess substantial experience in the management of chronic illnesses, including an understanding of psychosocial aspects, comfortable working with multi-morbidity and polypharmacy, high-level clinical skills, person-centred approach to care, and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team.
