The Department of Urology at University College Hospital is looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Fellow to work across the highly specialised Urology department based at Westmoreland Street Hospital.

Main duties of the job:

  • The Senior Clinical Fellow will assist focal therapy lists (focal HIFU, cryotherapy, nanoknife) and will have training opportunities as 3 focal therapy lists run per week.
  • The Fellow will have to lead theatre lists independently, especially for transperineal targeted prostate biopsy.
  • There are regular clinics at which the Fellow will have the opportunity to see new patients as well as patients under follow up, often under supervision of a consultant.
  • The Fellow will have joint responsibility in organising, presenting and implementing outcomes from the focal prostate team multi-disciplinary meeting in association with uro-radiology and histopathology.

Knowledge and Qualifications:

Essential criteria:

  • Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise.

Experience:

Essential criteria:

  • Completion of core surgical training.
  • Substantive experience as a Specialist Registrar in Urology. ST6 or above, or with specialised knowledge in the area.
