The Medical Specialties Division is looking to recruit a full‑time Administration Assistant to work as part of the Rheumatology administration team at University College London Hospital.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a busy and varied workload, prioritising tasks for yourself and others to accommodate changing demands.
- Acting as the first point of contact (by phone and in person) for patients, relatives, GPs and other external hospital staff/tertiary referrers.
- Co‑ordinating communication with members of the administrative and clinical teams, including nursing, medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers.
- Working mainly in the Rheumatology Infusion Clinic, a patient‑facing area.
We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent communication, good IT skills and strong interpersonal skills. Written and verbal communication must be excellent. You should be able to prioritise workload and work well in a changing environment.
Qualifications and experience:
- Essential: Experience working in an office environment.
- Desirable: Previous experience of working in the NHS.
