Reporting to the JRO Quality Assurance Manager, a candidate is required to support the development and delivery of the quality management and assurance system for the UCLH and UCL research portfolio within the JRO. A proactive self-starter with excellent organisation and analytical skills and proven understanding of data systems will maintain systems for tracking and analysing research incidents reported via Trust or UCL platforms. This includes recording each incident, maintaining trackers, analysing trends and preparing reports as required. The role also involves providing guidance and advice on reporting research incidents and participating in the audit programme to audit processes, systems and non-commercially sponsored research studies within the JRO portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with investigators, UCLH and UCL research divisions and units to offer support, guidance and documentation relating to research incident reporting, processes, guidance and SOPs.
- Engage with external stakeholders to provide quality advice and guidance on incident management and regulatory issues, supporting implementation of GCP regulations, HRA, Data Protection Act, UK GDPR, Human Tissue Act, Material Transfer and other relevant policies.
- Prepare reports for dissemination at regular Quality and Safety meetings to reflect reported incidents, outcomes and analysis.
- Report on trends within reported incidents and provide analysis.
- Ensure appropriate corrective and preventative action (CAPA) plans are recorded within trackers and the JRO Quality Management System (QMS).
- Maintain the online QMS of SOPs, associated documents, and file notes, and track compliance with SOPs for JRO teams using online logs.
Applicants should demonstrate a pragmatic approach, excellent communication skills and a proven ability to maintain good working relationships and provide high-level customer service to teams within the JRO, Trust, University and external stakeholders.
