This is a great opportunity to lead a dynamic continuity team delivering truly personalised maternity care across the full pregnancy journey. As Midwifery Continuity Team Leader of the Caledonian Continuity Team you will shape a model of care where relationships matter, continuity is real, and women feel known, heard and supported from booking through to postnatal discharge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a skilled, community‑based team providing care across home, birth centre and hospital settings, balancing clinical expertise with strong leadership and coordination.
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership of the Caledonian Continuity Team, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal pathways.
  • Oversee caseload management, coordinate staffing and on‑call provision, and maintain high standards of clinical practice within a community‑based model.
  • Support and develop your team through supervision, mentorship and performance management, creating a positive, accountable and supportive working culture.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, manage complexity, contribute to personalised care planning and ensure women receive consistent, informed and responsive care.
  • Monitor quality and safety, respond to concerns and complaints, and use insight from feedback and incidents to drive improvement.
  • Lead confidently in a fast‑paced, evolving service, demonstrating strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
