The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
You will be responsible for working alongside the other ward administrators and the staff on the ward to ensure high quality patient care. You will be required to assist with coordinating patient discharges, booking transport and communicating with patients and their family members. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is a focus on patient care.
You will work alongside our doctors, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support them in the administrative tasks required to carry out the clinical work in the department. You will be required to engage in patient flow, understanding the discharge metrics and engaging with the wider team to ensure efficient processes are followed, escalating to management where required.
We expect you to be hard working, engaged and supportive towards your colleagues. You will have to learn and practice a number of different administrative functions, and to offer feedback and suggestions to improve the service. It is important to provide an excellent level of service to our patients including being friendly, helpful and approachable at all times.
The team on T08 is comprised of Infection, Respiratory and Rheumatology patients with the ward administrators acting as front of house for all first-line patient and family queries. All teams strive to work together and communicate as efficiently as possible, to provide the highest quality patient care and work towards the trust targets.
