A Locum Maternity Cover Consultant in Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology is required at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The position is available as 0.8FTE or any lower full‑time equivalent and is expected to commence in March 2026 for up to 12 months.

Role Details

There is no out of hours on‑call commitment for this post. Application will require a CV.

Responsibilities

  • Support young people in the wider endocrinology department, focusing on puberty and reproductive endocrinology disorders, pituitary disorders, thyroid, adrenal disorders, and/or late effects of cancer treatments.
  • Support the endocrine component of the NHS England specialist services for Children and Young People (CYP) with Gender Incongruence (previously GIDS – 1 PAs).
  • Participate in teaching activities on the UCH site and provide clinical supervision of residents.
  • Contribute to service development, audit and various management and governance activities within the department.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Broad experience in Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology.
  • Ability to develop or maintain a subspecialty interest that complements the department’s current focus areas.
  • Strong teaching, supervisory and audit skills.
  • Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and support specialist services such as CYP gender incongruence.
