This application is for the post of Clinical Fellow in Anaesthesia at University College Hospitals NHS Trust. The post is offered on a 12‑month fixed term basis and is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven candidate to join a progressive and dynamic department focused on clinical excellence, high‑quality training in Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, and world‑class research.

- Regional Anaesthesia
- Airway
- Thoracic Anaesthesia
- Complex Major Surgery/Bariatrics
- Obstetric Anaesthesia
Bespoke fellowships may be accommodated, dependent on availability. Typically there is one post per subspecialty. You may wish to consider interest in multiple subspecialties at application/interview.
Start date: Wednesday 5th August 2025
Key responsibilities:
- Majority of clinical sessions in the chosen fellowship, combined with sessions in other areas of personal interest and departmental needs.
- Run appropriate elective lists independently to build clinical practice.
- Allocate half a day per week for research, education and management.
- Contribute to the department by engaging in QI, audits, teaching or research; supported to do so.
- Typical on‑call commitments of 1 in 9, covering theatres and/or the labour ward; alternative rota may apply if the on‑call rota is full.
