The Role:

University College Birmingham's Compliance team is recruiting for a Student Immigration Advice and Compliance Officer (maternity cover) to support Student Route compliance operations across the University. To be successful in this role, you will have experience working with the Student Route immigration category within Higher Education. You will possess a strong understanding of Student Route Sponsor Guidance and be confident in applying the rules to manage a range of complex student immigration matters. You will be proficient in using the UKVI SMS system, including issuing CAS and reporting changes in circumstances. In addition, you will be familiar with the student visa application process and able to support continuing and returning students with their visa applications.

We are looking for a proactive problem solver with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will be confident in delivering clear and assertive advice to both students and academic staff and have a proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
