Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative and high-standard classroom and practical sessions for agricultural courses, including the L2 Technical Certificate in Agriculture.
- Develop and update teaching resources, assessment tasks, and practical training materials.
- Participate in induction, regular training days, and the college’s teacher training programme.
- Support students through mentoring, feedback, and pastoral care, promoting a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification or degree in a relevant agricultural or rural science subject area.
- Relevant industrial experience in a rural or agricultural environment, with knowledge of arable farming and agricultural machinery.
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 or a commitment to obtain one within the first three years of employment.
- Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*–9/4) or willingness to achieve within 18 months of appointment.
