Work Placement & Careers Coordinator - EHCP / High Needs Learners

Salary : £24,368 - £24,709 per annum (inclusive of a non‑contractual recruitment and retention allowance of £1,392).

This brand‑new role supports learners with an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) or other significant needs, helping them secure suitable work placements and progress into employment after college.

You will work closely with students, their parents/carers, teaching teams and local businesses to establish working partnerships, ensuring that learners can attend work placements and thrive.

In addition, you will provide information, advice and guidance throughout the year, support learners’ next steps and progression, and contribute to the inclusive learning faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Support learners with EHCP or significant needs to find suitable work placements and help their progression into hopeful employment after college.
  • Work with students, parents/carers, teaching teams and local businesses to establish partnerships that enable work placements.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance to learners throughout the year to help them succeed.
  • Identify learners within curriculum areas who need further help to find a work placement.
  • Support students in the inclusive learning faculty.
  • Regularly visit Wisbech, Cambridge and Sports campuses, as well as the Downham Market centre.
  • Work closely with admissions, student services and business support teams under new line management from September.
