Based at Taunton College, the Student Experience & Safeguarding Officer plays a pivotal role in coordinating wellbeing and safeguarding support for students across the College. Working closely with the Safeguarding Team Leader, the Student Experience & Safeguarding Officer is responsible for triaging referrals, ensuring timely and appropriate support is provided, and maintaining a calm and effective approach under pressure.

This role is central to supporting students - particularly those from vulnerable groups - by addressing a wide range of issues that may affect their learning and overall college experience. The Student Experience & Safeguarding Officer provides one-to-one and group guidance and mentoring, signposting students to internal services or external agencies, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment across the college group.
