Are you an experienced academic or public health professional passionate about shaping the future of public health education and research? The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health at the University of Suffolk is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Public Health to join our innovative and supportive team.

In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of engaging teaching, lead scholarly activity, and play a key part in developing our public health curriculum.

You will be based in our new Health and Wellbeing Building, a cutting-edge facility that supports our mission to deliver exceptional health education and research. The building features: two state-of-the-art hospital wards, a midwifery birthing unit, a new sports and exercise science facility, a fully equipped radiography imaging suite, counselling and physiotherapy clinic rooms and The Suffolk Institute of Health and Wellbeing, our flagship research hub. About You

You will have:

  • A relevant Master’s degree (and ideally a PhD or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Extensive experience in public health practice, education, or research.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences across academic levels.
  • Engagement in research, scholarly activity, or knowledge exchange that demonstrates impact.
  • A commitment to curriculum development and improving student outcomes.
  • A HE teaching qualification.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, academic leadership capabilities, and the ability to foster strong professional relationships within and outside the University.
