UCU is seeking a Regional Administrator to join the Yorkshire & Humberside team on a permanent and full time basis. In this exciting role, reporting to the Regional Official, Yorkshire and Humberside Region, your main duties will be:
- To provide administrative support
- To take part in branch survey work
- Organise training sessions
- To provide administrative support for organising and campaigning activities
- Assist with industrial action ballots and legal assistance applications
- Manage the office in the absence of the Regional Official and Regional Support Official
- Deal with correspondence, minute meetings, and maintain efficient systems
You must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent experience (including Maths and English). Experience of a similar working environment and/or understanding of working for a Trade Union or other not-for-profit organisation is required. You will have a good knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), administrative experience at senior level, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) at all levels. An understanding and commitment to equality principles and policies is essential.
