The Role
We’re seeking a Course Leader in Sport and are inviting individuals interested in heading up our Sports & Exercise Science and/or Physical Education and/or Health & Exercise and Sport programmes. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of these subject areas, leading curriculum delivery, and ensuring an outstanding learning experience that blends academic rigour with real-world application.
As a key academic leader, you will manage a team of lecturers, support curriculum innovation, and work closely with industry and sport sector partners to ensure our content remains cutting-edge and career-focused. You’ll also contribute directly to teaching, assessment, and quality assurance embedding UA92’s unique commitment to character development and social mobility.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong academic and/or professional track record in one or more of the following areas: Sports & Exercise Science and/or Physical Education and/or Health & Exercise and Sport
- Experience in curriculum design, delivery, and quality assurance
- Proven ability to lead academic teams and inspire innovations in teaching
- A learner-focused approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable
- Experience of developing or delivering degree apprenticeships or CPD programmes
- Background in engaging with industry and sport, education and/or health sector professionals
- Familiarity with alternative HE pathways and non-traditional student journeys
