This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the future of veterinary education in the UK. As Policy Officer, you will help shape policy that supports high-quality, sustainable university education and strengthens collaboration across veterinary schools.
Working as part of the Medical Schools Council’s Policy Team, you’ll primarily support the Veterinary Schools Council (VSC) engaging with members, government, and regulatory bodies to understand priorities and identify opportunities. You’ll coordinate meetings of the VSC and its committees, support the development of policy initiatives, and help drive progress on major pieces of work such as the Council’s new strategic vision for veterinary education.
You’ll also collaborate with colleagues on cross-cutting initiatives, including driving progress on the VSC\’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, through engagement with members and stakeholders.
This a particularly exciting moment to join the VSC as it develops its long-term strategy for veterinary education and research. The role offers the chance to work closely with leaders in the sector and contribute to shaping policy at national level.
