About the role
In your role as HR Administrator you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to provide efficient, accurate and compliant administration across the employee lifecycle, benefits and HR operational processes. The role is responsible for delivering high-volume transactional HR activities, maintaining employee records, supporting payroll and benefits administration, and providing a responsive first-line service to employees, managers and stakeholders.
What you will be doing
Employee Lifecycle Administration
- Process standard employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Administer standard new starter and leaver processes.
- Process employee changes including contractual amendments, personal detail changes and standard contract extensions.
- Maintain employee records and ensure HR systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process miscellaneous leave requests including jury service, sabbaticals and other non-standard leave arrangements.
- Undertake bank holiday entitlement calculations where required.
Benefits, Reward & Payroll Administration
- Administer employee benefits and respond to routine benefits queries.
- Process wellbeing and development claims in accordance with policy.
- Administer long service award processes.
- Process employee loan applications, including standard and emergency loans.
HR Support & Operational Administration
- Respond to employment reference requests, including regulated references.
- Raise purchase orders and support contractor invoice receipting activities.
- Maintain electronic employee records in line with data retention and compliance requirements.
- Provide first-line administrative support and guidance on routine HR policies, procedures and processes.
About you

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Experience of working in an administrative role, ideally within HR although this is not essential
- Confident in using IT applications, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience using an HR system is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection regulation
- Highly organised with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise or escalatie as required
- Excellent attention to detail
