We are looking to recruit an experienced HR Assistant for our sites in the UK under a Fixed-term contract (Hybrid). They will join a small HR team in this growing fast-paced business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Role model the Universally Speaking Values and Behaviours treating employees as Adults, Individuals and Customers.
  • Act as a first point of contact for both internal and external enquiries - proactively responding to all enquiries and escalating as appropriate via Outlook.
  • Delivering a great employee experience and support service.
  • Supporting the onboarding experience with new starters with Inductions, preparing assets and checking right to work documentation.
  • Assisting People Operations with administrative duties and transactional work.
  • Support with time and attendance and employee data management.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Maintain records and ensure electronic HR files are kept up to date.
  • Prepare offer letters and contracts of employment.
  • Input and maintain information on various HR systems e.g. sickness records, probation, starters, leavers and changes to employment.
  • Complete monthly Payroll amends.
  • Carry out compliance audits.
  • Recruitment and administration including checking right to work, providing references, medical questionnaires.
  • Support HR Operations Lead as required.
  • Ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Measures of performance:

  • Accurate data and timely audits.
  • All transactional HR/people services are delivered within agreed SLAs.
  • Accurate on-time delivery of Payroll with minimal to zero errors.
  • Key project deliverables and benefits within agreed timescales.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HR Operations/ER (Essential).
  • Experience of HR Information Systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Great organisation skills.
  • Strong time management.
  • Excellent communication skills (Fluent in English).
  • Some experience in administration/data entry.
  • Attention to detail and quality when working with data.
  • Knowledge and use of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, Outlook preferred.
  • Working towards or attained CIPD or Human Resources qualification preferred.
