Universal Ultrasound Diagnostics (UUD) Ltd is a diagnostic imaging service provider located in Kings Heath, Birmingham, West Midlands. UUD is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our qualified and experienced sonographers are registered either with HCPC or BMUS and have vast experience in the NHS and private clinics.

UUD offers the following services:

  • Diagnostic Scans for adults and paediatrics: Abdominal (including abdominal wall, hernias & appendix), Kidneys & Bladder, Kidney & Prostate, Pelvic, Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) leg and arm, Venous Insufficiency, Temporal Arteries, Scrotal/Testicular, Breasts, Thyroid, Lumps and Bumps, Carotid, Chest Wall, Calf, Buttock, Aorta & Groin
  • Gynaecology Scans: Caesarean Scar, Pelvic, Fertility and Fertility with Antral Follicles Count (AFC)
  • Pregnancy Scans: Early Pregnancy, Reassurance, Dating, Gender, Cervical Length, Anomaly (20 Week Scan), Growth/Fetal well-being/Placental Localisation, 3D & 4D
  • All Blood Tests: Including NIPT, Early Gender, DNA
  • MSK: Shoulder, Knee, Foot and Ankle, Rheumatology, Elbow, Hand & Wrist, Hip

Role Description: This is a temporary/Bank on-site Sonographer role based in Birmingham. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations on patients, monitoring and interpreting ultrasound images, maintaining patient records, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. The Sonographer will also be responsible for collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure proper patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Registered either with HCPC and/or BMUS
  • UK experience in all or most of obstetrics, gynaecology, small parts, MSK and Vascular sonography
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
