We are looking to hire an IC Validation Engineer to join an established ASIC design group working on developing and running measurement solutions to evaluate a range of cryogenic-compatible ASICs and micromachined components. What You’ll Accomplish:
- Work closely with the design team to implement Design for Test (DFT) best practices and improve product documentation.
- Responsible for the creation of reports detailing the performance of ASICs at nominal and cryogenic temperatures.
- Develop and support in-house evaluation capabilities and work with the ASIC design team to ensure designs fit within these capabilities.
- Work with silicon at various stages of assembly and collaborate with suppliers to define and produce packaging for chip-specific evaluation.
- Help identify root causes of functional or performance deviations.
The 3 Most Critical Attributes We’ll Use to Compare Candidates:
- Experience with detailed product evaluation and able to give recommendations on DFT improvements or hardware requirements.
- Ability to develop practical test solutions to non-standard silicon and operating environments.
- Willingness to work in a team to debug silicon or manufacturing issues and trace to the root cause.
Must-have Skills:
- 7+ years' experience in engineering measurement.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills for in-person and remote collaborators.
- PCB design/layout experience.
- Focus on preparing detailed reports on yielded evaluation.
- Setting up supplier relationships for assembly and equipment.
- Demonstrate a strong discipline for thorough documentation.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Embedded programming and FPGA experience.
- Labview.
