Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, solid SQL skills, and proven experience working in Agile environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, and Developers to deliver data-driven insights and business solutions. Experience within the music or the music publishing industry is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications, while leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and quality
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve business processes and team efficiency
Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design and implement solutions
Write SQL queries to test and analyse data
Use Python (where applicable) for data analysis, automation, or prototyping
Support data validation, testing, and quality assurance processes
Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Maintain and manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Produce clear documentation, including process flows, requirements, and reports
Required Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst
Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Solid SQL skills (data querying, joins, aggregations, performance optimisation)
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Quicksight, MicroStrategy)
Strong understanding of how AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) can be used to enhance business analysis, documentation, and productivity
Desirable Skills
Experience in the music or music publishing industry
Basic to intermediate Python skills (data manipulation, scripting, or automation)
Experience with data platforms or cloud environments, especially AWS
Knowledge of data modelling concepts
Understanding of APIs and system integrations
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
