The Tax Manager will establish and maintain strong relationships with the Global Tax and BU Finance teams to help effectively address business issues.Reporting to: Head of UK TaxLocation: 4 Pancras SquareKEY RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the delivery of mixed tax portfolio covering corporate, employment, VAT and international taxes in order to ensure the Group’s compliance with Tax reporting requirementsSupport the Head of UK Tax in the Group’s relationship with our CCM at the Large Business Office to maintain the desired risk levelSupport tax audits of entities and deal with enquiries and/or requests from HMRCBe a main point of contact and responsible for managing the relationship with Tax authorities and consultants in relation to all taxesProvide support to the Group in respect of tax aspects of acquisition/disposals, restructurings or commercial arrangementsProvide tax advice to the business as requiredKeep abreast of changes in tax legislation and where planning opportunities arise, participate in their analysis and implementationAssist in maintaining relevant tax regulations (including transfer pricing, SAO, CIR, CBCR, Pillar 2, Tax Strategy etc) on an ongoing basisBuild effective working relationships with other departments and functionsUnderstand the businesses, so that future tax developments can be transitioned in a timely mannerKEY REQUIREMENTSTax and/or accounting qualification with proven experience of mixed tax compliance experience likely gained in-house or in an accounting/consulting firmExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and the ability to work well in an international teamSelf-sufficient (able to work with ambiguity and complexity but without supporting infrastructure), whilst also being a good team playerExcellent inter-personal and communication skills and an ability to build win-win working relationships internally and externallyExcellent organisational skillsRobust and able to manage in a rapidly changing environment and challenge the status quoAct with integrity and credibilityDESIRABLEKnowledge/Experience of the Music & Film Industries or businessGood communicator - must be able to convey tax technical issues in layman's termsJust So You Know…The company presents this job description as a guide to the major areas and duties for which the jobholder is accountable.
