We are looking for a Manager, Catalogue Migration (UK/EU) to join our team at Universal Music Group. Music is Universal. The Manager, Catalogue Operations & Migration directly manages the process of receiving, staging and distributing new catalogues in the Virgin Music Group digital supply chain. The role is responsible for following and developing catalogue migration best practices, optimising current workflows, tracking projects from start to finish and above all, ensuring a seamless transition of new Virgin Music Group catalogues on DSPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and certify metadata, asset and product configurations on incoming catalogues prior to ingestion and ultimate distribution.
  • Interface between business, technical and operational teams across multiple departments with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with UMG stakeholders, giving special consideration to catalogues moving from UMG supply chain to VMG.
  • Ensure incoming content is brought in line with current metadata and asset standards, where differences exist.
  • Master details of the Virgin Music Group style guide and understand how they apply and relate to DSP standards.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in various states, balancing priorities while maximising quality and timely completion.
  • Facilitate collection of accurate details for complex projects with large volumes of content.
  • Assist in scheduling timelines and track various projects from start to finish.
  • Work with proprietary systems and tools to configure and process audio and video content for distribution.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control team to ensure best practices are maintained during migration.
Must Have – Skills and Experience Required
  • Experience in digital music distribution, content management and/or customer or technical support in digital music.
  • Experience working with complex music metadata.
  • Comfortable working with multiple streams of data, and the ability to analyse, manage and/or design spreadsheets.
  • Experience working in complex operational environments and software systems.
  • Strong ability to follow through and a desire to see even minor issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to maintain multiple project timelines while being accountable and responsive.
  • Experience with top digital music services interfaces, social media applications, and digital music best practices.
Nice To Have
  • Understanding of DDEX standards.
  • Passionate about music discovery and a fan of multiple genres of music with the ability to represent VMG in the marketplace.
  • Knowledge of audio, video and image formats and specifications.
