The B Side: Skills & Experience

The successful Junior Content Commissioner will

  • Be Creative
  • Support the team in commissioning360 creative content. That includes: engaging short and long-form content, music videos, clips for social media, graphics, stills and artwork.
  • Support the team in commissioning eye catching live music / tour content, content series, visualisers, lyrical and subtitled content, interviews, teasers, vinyl and merch.
  • Work closely with the wider creative team, marketing, social and digital teams to ensure content is faithful to the artist or project vision
  • Be forward thinking in how the creative team and it’s work functions across short form & online platforms.
  • Collaborate and work with the team on ideation & brief creation, as well as finding new talent to work with.
  • Be Collaborative
  • Be a team player; keeping internal collaborators and relevant partners updated on progress, maintaining a collaborative approach across all projects.
  • Good artist liaison skills; acreative communicator, confident in the presentation and discussion of creative concepts and ideas.
  • A people person; being present, available, and approachable on set.
  • Always aware of the artist’s vision and able to check in and communicate clearly when needed.

  • Being trend aware to maximise opportunities online.
  • Have excellent deck design and copywritingskills.
  • Have some technical understanding of the processes behind making video / photo, Adobe Suite knowledge not a must but a bonus.
  • Be Administrative
  • Be an effective communicator in a large team, with confidence in managing priorities.
  • Be a detail-oriented creative when it comes to approving work with overall accountability.
  • Confidence in managing multiple projects at once.
  • Have a basic understanding of production costs / budgets and feeling comfortable negotiating and ensuring projects represent good value for the artist and label.
  • Create detailed budgets, call sheets and schedules.
