Introduction to the Global Finance Team

The Global Finance team at UMPG plays a central role in consolidating financial performance, supporting strategic leadership, and guiding operational and commercial decisions across our territories. We work closely with the UMPG CFO, country Heads of Finance, and key business units to ensure our reporting, insights and planning drive value and informed decision‑making across the organisation.

A Day in the Life of a Production Music & Classical Reporting Analyst

As the Reporting Analyst for Production Music and Classical, you\’ll start your day by liaising with local territory finance teams to verify month‑end submissions. You might then analyse divisional performance, update monthly decks for senior stakeholders, or respond to queries from UMPG\’s senior leadership. Whether it\’s updating reporting templates, tracking KPIs or supporting off‑cycle projects, you\’ll be a key financial point of contact for these divisions – ensuring accuracy, clarity and insight in every deliverable.

Your impact in role

  • Consolidating and analysing monthly results for the Production Music and Classical divisions.
  • Producing senior‑level reporting packs and commentary for internal stakeholders.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with territory finance contacts for reporting, queries and submissions.
  • Maintaining, updating and improving monthly templates and KPIs to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Supporting senior finance leadership with ad hoc reporting and project needs.
  • Contributing to global operational reviews and financial oversight.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyse monthly submissions across countries for PM & Classical.
  • Ensure data integrity and completeness across all supplementary schedules.
  • Prepare decks and financial commentary for senior management.
  • Manage monthly roll‑forward of templates and trackers.
  • Liaise with finance colleagues internationally to support a collaborative, timely reporting process.
  • Maintain KPIs and operational review materials to support insight and decision‑making.
  • Provide ad hoc financial support and analysis for the Snr Director, Global Finance.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong academic background and fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience in financial reporting, analysis and data consolidation within a global or complex organisation.
  • Highly proficient in Excel (including macro‑level functionality).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Able to manage own workload effectively, particularly under pressure and to deadlines.
  • A genuine interest in the music industry and enthusiasm for the creative sector.

Desirable

  • Experience with Hyperion products or other financial planning systems.
  • Familiarity with the global music, media or entertainment sectors.
