Salary & Benefits: This is a paid internship opportunity. Our Internship Overview: The Amplify U Internship is a structured, paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.

The Role: As an Amplify U Intern, you'll contribute to live business initiatives, learn directly from industry professionals and grow through tailored development. You'll be immersed in the day-to-day of your department, gaining valuable skills and making a tangible impact. The role involves the analysis of the company's global financial reporting, monitoring and coordinating the group financial reporting process and monitoring & maintaining finance system rules and parameters. You will experience both the Global Financial Reporting team and the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.

What you'll learn:

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the coordination of the global finance submission process. Support the monthly consolidation process, including collaborating with finance teams across the globe to gather, validate and consolidate data. Involve in the completion of the monthly / quarterly / forecast / plan consolidation processes and procedures including a number of reconciliations, reports and analysis. Help develop and maintain our monthly processes and controls.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Assist in the running of monthly management presentations across a range of key analysis areas. Use a range of systems to extract key reports to support monthly analysis within the FP&A team as well as for ad-hoc analysis. Provide commentary and analysis on specific focus areas at both a group and market level. Provide additional off-cycle support to the UMG Global FP&A team.
  • Learning & Development: A dedicated onboarding experience, including UMG UK immersion and coaching. A Lumina Spark strengths profile and one-to-one coaching session. Quarterly soft skills workshops (e.g. presenting, time management). Networking sessions with professionals across UMG UK. Intern shadowing days and unique industry experiences. Ongoing check-ins and final internship review with career planning support. Develop your skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

Who you are: Aged 18 or over at the time of application, interview, onboarding and placement. A genuine interest in the music industry and in building a career within it. A desire to become a finance professional. A team player who is good at building professional relationships and adapting a personal approach to deal with different personalities who have varying levels of knowledge and skills across the organisation. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form. Strong computer literacy and excellent Excel (or equivalent) skills. Excellent analytical skills. Flexible with ability to multi-task and prioritise. Ability to manage own workload in a pressurised environment and work to tight deadlines.
