Department Description: Recently launched as Sound Therapy on Apple Music, Sollos is Universal Music’s leading audio‑wellness venture. We create music and soundscapes which have been specifically engineered to help people focus, relax and sleep, combining music from the world’s best artists with cutting‑edge research into cognitive science and psychoacoustics. Sollos curate tracks from Universal Music’s world‑class roster of artists, using science‑backed criteria to assess the audio’s suitability to support better focus, relaxation, and sleep.
AI researchers at Universal Music have developed a patented algorithm to analyse the rhythmic, dynamic, and harmonic features of a piece of music and generate auditory beats that match. Our audio producers review and modify the generated output to ensure that the beat blends with the music whilst respecting the harmonic and temporal structure of the original track. We produce wellness remixes and creative collaborations with big‑name artists that incorporate the same science that research has shown can help improve mood and enhance cognition.
