A Day in The Life
The Digital Creative Producer / Editor works alongside the Head of Digital to drive the creative output for digital and short‑form content production across AV content, social series, mid‑form YouTube content, podcasts, branded content, marketing assets, and creative decks. The role leads and delivers digital productions end‑to‑end, overseeing creative output, formats, and delivery across multiple platforms and contributing to larger‑scale Mercury Studios productions where required.
Skills & Experience
- Be Organised: Plan and turn creative concepts into reality with end‑to‑end oversight of all creative and delivery requirements, ensuring key production milestones are hit. Liaise with creative partners, find locations, book crew, arrange kit hire, lighting approach, and set design, all within overall budget parameters. Act as a point person for talent/talent management, conveying creative plans and clear outlines of involvement. Research projects and manage rights checking via internal systems to ensure content is cleared for intended use. Work with the production and legal teams to obtain relevant contracts and releases. Deliver final assets on deadline and in full after the shoot, either by editing yourself or working with internal or external editor teams as needed, in line with budget parameters and scheduled timings. Manage asset storage with the post‑production team to ensure projects are delivered and archived appropriately.
- Be Creative: Ideate and develop digital‑first content, independently or collaboratively, driving the process through greenlight to delivery. Lead creative sessions, brainstorms, and strategy for digital and social content across platforms such as YouTube, Shorts, Instagram, and TikTok. Demonstrate experience in self‑shooting, directing, and editing short‑form and mid‑form formats. Collaborate with production teams and freelance crew on shoots, ensuring the artist is satisfied and the creative vision is executed to the expected level. On non‑shoot projects collaborate with creative director/head of department and other team members to deliver the creative, including research, feedback rounds, and formats.
- Be Administrative: Approve work with overall accountability, ensuring attention to detail. Understand production costs/budgets and negotiate to ensure projects are delivered at an excellent level while representing a strong spend of budgeted funds. Produce shoots and maintain relationships with directors, DOPs, gaffers, editors, and other key creative partners. Have a strong sense of what creative assets work on each key digital and social platform. Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, quick‑turnaround environment. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work with people at all levels within the business. Be flexible and able to prioritise one's own workload. Music‑industry experience is a bonus but not essential.
