Universal Metro Asian Services is a Not-For-Profit organization that aims to serve immigrant populations of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. UMAS is a small, family run organization. The perceptive employee would need to have experience with that or have experience wearing multiple hats. In addition, the perceptive employee should be able to work autonomously, be a self-starter, and have initiative and lots of follow through.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Homecare Supervisors report directly to the Site Manager, who is managed by the Executive Director.
- Prepares a schedule of Homecare Aide for the participant being served in the Santrax/Sandata Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system.
- Monitors on a daily basis the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Verveware system to ensure the Homecare Aides (HCA) are following their programmed schedule for each participant assigned.
- Ensures that there are memos written in the EVV system for any schedule/service deviation by confirming with the participant and HCA/FHCA.
- Reviews the Monthly Activity Task Report making sure it coincides with the Plan of Care for each participant.
- Makes quarterly unannounced visits to any Family Homecare Aide (FHCA) who is assigned to service a family member.
- Assists with the pre-employment and semi-annual trainings as deemed necessary.
- Attends meetings, conferences, or any job-related presentation deemed necessary on behalf of the agency as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Immediate Supervisor.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor degree in human services, social work, gerontology, activity therapy, recreation, physical therapy, art therapy or related field preferred. Associate Degree acceptable.
- Experience: Previous experience working with older adults or in an adult day care environment preferred.
- Physical exam (no more than 6 months prior to employment).
- CPR/First Aid certification or willing to become certified.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentation.
- Self-motivated, creative, flexible and results driven.
- Ability to be a productive team member/player.
Additional qualifications include:
- Being fluent in Hindi/Gujarati.
