Math Teacher – Diamond Grove Center is searching for a skilled and experienced Math Teacher for our Education Department. We are looking for a committed teacher who will be responsible for implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the job with an ability to reach students and create a relationship of mutual trust. This is a full‑time position, hours consist of 8:00 am‑4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday. Diamond Grove Center is a 61‑bed behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient care, acute care, and residential treatment for adolescents. On average 1,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health‑care team each year at Diamond Grove Center Hospital.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction using Edgenuity Courseware and MyPath.
- Maintain a calm demeanor during tense situations.
- Plan and execute education in‑class and outdoor activities.
- Provide targeted interventions designed by Edgenuity.
- Write Individualized Education Plans and Service Plans.
- Document student behavior on Q‑15 sheets.
- Maintain a safe learning environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree from an accredited four‑year college or university in the subject area to be taught (Special Education) and possession of a valid MS “A” teaching certificate.
- Must agree to obtain the EmD certification within one year of hire.
- Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Must be mobile throughout the facility, able to withstand noise, potential aggression, and able to maintain and manage difficult adolescents/children; occasional exposure to stressful situations.
