The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for managing a variety of department duties including managing the timely completion of Physical Environment regulatory required standards including documentation while assisting the Director Plant Operations in providing a safe, secure, and compliant work environment. This position assists the Director of Plant Operations in the planning, budgeting, and scheduling of facility modifications and improvements on equipment, managing labor materials and other related costs. Supervises activity and workload of the Maintenance staff. Provides input on staff evaluations and helps to ensure all required education is completed by staff.
Expected Job Duties:
- Oversees and directs work order system for all facilities to include; monitoring and distributing work orders, ensuring completion of all work orders, and providing weekly work order reports to management as requested.
- Maintains and tracks Physical Environment compliance and data for all facilities, including spreadsheets and books.
- Assists Director Plant Operations with addressing Physical Environment issues, developing work orders, and ensuring completion of all Physical Environment related work orders.
- Chairs the Physical Environment meeting as directed by the Director or in the Director’s absence. Completes agenda and minutes and distributes them appropriately.
- Organizes and oversees the inventory control process for the Maintenance Department at all facilities. Sources and orders supplies as needed and approved.
- Schedules inspections or repairs with outside vendors/contractors and notifies maintenance technicians and other affected parties of inspection schedule for all facilities.
- Escorts vendors/contractors around facilities as needed.
- Oversees the generator, water testing, Life Safety testing and all other regulatory testing and paperwork for all facilities. Schedules testing and completing applicable paperwork.
- Maintains and updates Safety Data Sheets in SDS online.
- Assists Director Plant Operations with processing quotes, invoices, purchase requests, and all other facility department forms and paperwork. Codes invoices ensuring work accuracy and completion.
- Assists Director Plant Operations with executing monthly fire drills and fire safety training on time and on schedule.
- Manages daily plant operations in the absence of the Director.
- Serves as project lead for Plant Operations department projects as assigned.
- Provides input for performance evaluations for Maintenance staff in a timely manner, including initial and 90 day competencies and annual performance evaluations to the Director of Plant Operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 1 (one) year direct experience in health care facility maintenance and management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
