KeyStone Center, located in Chester, Pennsylvania, offers substance use disorder and dual diagnosis treatment for adults. We are located five miles south of the Philadelphia Airport, making our facility an easy location to travel to and from, for out-of-state treatment options and visitors.

The Medical Records Specialist works closely with the Director of Medical Records. The staff is responsible for the monitoring storage and retrieval of all patients records including:

  • Monitoring open and closed record location throughout the facility.
  • Daily retrieval of closed records from clinical areas.
  • Disassembling of discharged records; ICD-9 coding and storage and recycling binders to Admissions Department.
  • Copying and releasing information to internal and external sources as per Keystone Center policies.
  • Adhering to State and Federal Confidentiality Laws, and regulatory standards.
  • Routine quantitative compliance audits of records done with monthly reports submitted to Director of Quality Assurance and deficiency reports distributed to assigned staff members.

Qualifications Job Requirements:

  • A High School Graduate or equivalent with a minimum of one year office setting experience.
