Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health – Community Liaison
Located in Norfolk, Virginia, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is a leading community partner providing acute, residential, and Partial Hospitalization treatment for children and teens with behavioral and/or mental health concerns. The hospital is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and their families. Established in 1986, it is an 82-bed facility accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS).
Qualifications
Essential Functions: Must be able to perform all essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for qualified individuals with disabilities. Knowledge, skills, and abilities should be documented and observable during the application and interview process.
Education: Bachelor\’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Behavioral Science.
Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in mental health care marketing within hospitals or managed care settings. A strong client service background, proven business development and sales record, and excellent time management skills are required. Ability to manage multiple projects, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate high business ethics is essential. Knowledge of healthcare marketing, public relations, media relations, and event planning is necessary. Understanding of behavioral sciences and mental health treatment objectives is preferred. Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills are mandatory. Must be computer literate and capable of operating basic office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, and perform physical activities including lifting up to 50 pounds. Must have good vision, including peripheral and color perception, and be able to de-escalate verbally and physically restrain if necessary.
