What You’ll Be Doing
- Installation & Servicing: Install a wide range of systems including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Nurse Call, Automatic Gates & Barriers, Disabled Refuge Systems, and Fire & Safety Signage. Diagnose and repair faults across all systems with confidence and professionalism.
- Customer Excellence: Keep clients informed throughout each job, ensuring they feel supported and reassured. Provide clear explanations of work completed — no jargon, no confusion. Identify opportunities for system upgrades or additions and prepare quotations.
- Teamwork & Communication: Work closely with the office team to coordinate daily activities. Maintain open communication with your Engineer Supervisor. Attend engineer meetings and deliver Toolbox Talks when required.
- Professional Standards: Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked company vehicle. Complete weekly van checks and submit timesheets on time. Keep work areas tidy and safe at all times. Wear all required PPE, including Tetra equipment.
- Development & Responsibility: Take ownership of your training and development — we’ll support you every step of the way. Work safely and responsibly, protecting yourself, your colleagues, and the public. Close down jobs promptly and accurately after each call. Participate in the out‑of‑hours callout rota when required.
What You’ll Bring
- Qualifications & Training (Essential): BAFE SP101/ST104, BAFE SP203‑1, City & Guilds Fire & Security, Tetra Ladder Training, PASMA/IPAF (as required), CSCS Card, Fieldmotion Mobile Engineering Platform experience, DBS (CRB) clearance & BS7858 Security Clearance, Full UK Driving Licence, Awareness of SSAIB requirements, BSEN 7010 knowledge.
- Skills & Experience: Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and customer‑facing. Strong time management with the ability to prioritise and multitask. High attention to detail and deadlines. Confident technical capability and willingness to learn new systems. Understanding of both B2B and B2C environments.
- Personal Qualities: Confident decision‑maker with strong interpersonal skills. Creative, adaptable, and aligned with our company values. Self‑motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
