The Role We are looking for a driven and energetic Business Development Manager to join our team in a role focused primarily on new business generation, alongside growing existing customer accounts. This is roughly a 70/30 split between winning new customers and developing current accounts. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships, managing inbound enquiries, and converting opportunities into long-term business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys opening doors, building rapport, and closing deals while working within a supportive and ambitious team environment. Unlike many sales roles, this is not purely a cold-start position. You’ll benefit from inbound leads, established accounts, and a well-respected brand within the market — giving you a strong platform to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity
- Build and manage long-term customer relationships
- Grow revenue across existing accounts through upselling and account development
- Handle inbound enquiries and convert opportunities into sales
- Maintain and manage pipeline activity through CRM systems (ideally HubSpot)
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs

- Have proven sales experience within a BDM, Sales Executive, or Account Management role
- Be confident winning new business and closing deals
- Have strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Be proactive, commercially aware, and target-driven
- Bring positivity, enthusiasm, and energy to the sales floor
- Be organised and comfortable managing pipelines through CRM systems
- Ideally have experience within construction, tool hire, container sales, or a related industry
- Ideally have experience using HubSpot CRM
What We Offer
- £35,000–£40,000 basic salary
